How do I use the Bigfoot Consolidation Service?

From our homepage, click on Email Forwarding. Enter your Bigfoot for Life address and your Bigfoot password. On the next screen are all the services to which you, as a Bigfoot for Life member, have access. Under Premium Services, click on Consolidation to continue. Next, fill out the form provided with the e-mail accounts that you want consolidated into your Bigfoot account. You can consolidate up to 10 email accounts. To do this, you will need to know the name of your POP3 Mail Server, and you will need to supply the Account Name and Password associated with the account.

The First Entry asks me for my POP3 Mail Server, what's that?

POP3 is a mail protocol that allows PC and MAC machines to read the mail that has arrived at a specific mail server. The exact definition of a POP3 Mail Server is a mail server that supports POP3 (which stands for "Post Office Protocol"). OK, so what does that mean? A 'POP Account' is basically an e-mail address where you can send and receive mail. If you are unsure of what your POP3 Mail Server is, then you should contact your Internet Service Provider.

Eg: John Smith subscribes to the Wherever ISP and his e-mail address with them is xyz@wherever.com. His POP mail server is (according to Wherever) mail.wherever.com. So, in the field marked POP3 Mail Server, John inputs mail.wherever.com. His Account Name is XYZ, since that is what precedes the @ sign in his e-mail address. His password is the one that he uses to get his mail from Wherever.

Note: Currently Consolidation does not work with AOL.

How can I tell what Consolidation Addresses I have set up?

Just follow the same directions for adding a new Consolidation address, and when you click on Consolidation, all of your current Consolidation addresses should be displayed. If you want to cancel or edit a specific address that has already been set up, just clear the appropriate box or edit the information within the box and click on update button.
